VERD

Anyone can say their judgment is good. VERD is designed to turn every decision you log into a hash-chained, outcome-scored record — a calibration track you can hand to a counterparty, an allocator, or yourself, and have it check out. Confidence isn't calibration. VERD makes the difference provable. Inherits the AEQUARA Brier-tracking discipline: measured, not asserted.

What VERD does

A record you can prove is different from a record you assert.

i.

Hash-chained decision ledger

You log the call, your confidence, and the resolution date — before the outcome is known. Each entry is cryptographically linked to the last, so the ledger is tamper-evident: no quietly deleting the miss, no back-dating the win. The proof isn't a badge we hand you. It's a property of the record itself.

Tamper-evident · logged before outcome
ii.

Day-1 calibration benchmark

You don't wait six weeks to learn something. The moment you log your first calls, VERD places you against a calibration benchmark for your domain — how a well-calibrated decision-maker should look — so you see likely blind spots before a single outcome resolves. The benchmark is the scaffold; your own verified record is the building.

Value on day one · domain priors
iii.

Brier-scored, verifiable track record

As outcomes resolve, each call is scored against reality with the same Brier instrument AEQUARA uses to rank prediction systems. Over time the population prior gives way to your record — one a third party can verify by checking the chain. Your word stops being the evidence.

Brier-scored · independently checkable
Why VERD exists

Most people who decide for a living have no idea how calibrated they actually are.

Confidence isn't calibration. You remember your good calls, forget the near-misses, and your "track record" becomes a story you tell — not a number anyone can audit. Meanwhile the people who pay you to be right increasingly want to see the receipts, and today you can't produce them. VERD is the receipts: a record built before outcomes are known, scored after they resolve, and verifiable by anyone who needs to trust your judgment. It is a precision instrument for people who would rather know than feel good.

"Confidence is what you feel. Calibration is what checks out."
Family compose

VERD runs on NEXUS. Inherits the Brier discipline. Calibration as infrastructure, not as a feature.

The verifiability isn't a UX choice — it's structural. VERD inherits the same NEXUS substrate, the same anti-issuer-pay firewall, the same Brier-tracking discipline, and the same methodology-hash custody that every AEQUARA surface is built on. The track record is auditable because the architecture makes it auditable, before it ever reaches the surface.
